Custom PC Builds & Upgrades in Brooklyn
Custom PC Builds & Upgrades in Brooklyn
SSD swaps, RAM upgrades, GPU installs, full custom desktops for gaming, video editing, AI/ML and small-business workstations. Spec’d to your budget, built and tested at our Brooklyn shop.
💰 Starting at $150 — labor for upgrade install; full builds quoted by spec
Whether you’re upgrading a 6-year-old desktop with an SSD and RAM, dropping a new GPU into your gaming rig, or building a fresh workstation from scratch — we spec, source, assemble, cable-manage, install Windows, install drivers, and stress-test before handing it over.
We don’t mark up parts above retail. We quote the build at cost-plus-labor so you see exactly what you’re paying for the parts vs the work. Bring your own parts if you prefer — we’ll assemble those too.

Quick upgrades that punch above their weight
- SSD upgrade ($150 labor + part). The single biggest speed jump for any pre-2018 laptop or desktop. We clone the existing drive bit-for-bit; you boot the same Windows you’ve been using, three times faster.
- RAM bump. 8 GB is the floor for modern Windows; 16 GB is the sweet spot; 32 GB+ for editing, virtualization and AI.
- Battery replacement. If your laptop dies in an hour, that’s usually a $80 part and an hour of labor.
- Thermal repaste + dust clean. Random shutdowns under load? Often this fixes it. $75 flat including reassembly.
Custom builds — what we build, who it’s for
Full custom builds quoted by spec. The most common configurations:
- Gaming rigs — $1,200 to $4,000+. Modern Ryzen or Intel CPU, dedicated GPU (RTX 4060 through 4090 / equivalent Radeon), 32 GB DDR5, fast NVMe, 144+ Hz monitor support, quiet cooling.
- Video / photo / 3D editing workstations — $2,000 to $6,000. CPU-heavy, high RAM (32–128 GB), fast NVMe scratch disk, color-accurate display support, optional GPU acceleration for Premiere, DaVinci, Lightroom and Blender.
- AI / ML workstations — $3,000 to $10,000. Single or dual NVIDIA RTX with 16+ GB VRAM, 64–128 GB system RAM, fast PCIe 4/5 storage, proper PSU sizing for sustained load.
- Small-business workstations — $900 to $1,800. Reliable, quiet, fast SSD, plenty of RAM, business-grade motherboard with TPM for Windows 11 Pro, real warranty parts.
- Home theater / streaming HTPC — $700 to $1,500. Small form factor, silent, 4K HDR, Plex/Jellyfin ready.
Bring your own parts — that’s fine too
We charge a flat assembly fee if you want to source parts yourself. Skip the parts markup, get the bench-built result. We’ll still cable-manage, install Windows, install drivers and stress-test before you pick it up.
Frequently asked questions
▸How long does a custom build take?
Once parts are in hand, assembly and burn-in is 2–4 days. If we’re sourcing parts and shipping is involved, plan a week to ten days end-to-end.
▸Can I bring my own parts and just pay for assembly?
Yes — flat $150 assembly labor for a basic build, $250 for builds with watercooling or RGB sleeving. Includes Windows install, drivers and stress test.
▸Do you mark up parts?
No — we quote at retail. The labor is the labor; you see what the parts cost. You can verify our parts pricing against Newegg, Microcenter and B&H.
▸Is an SSD upgrade worth it on a 7-year-old laptop?
Yes, almost always. An SSD turns a 7-year-old machine into something usable for another 3+ years. Same Windows, same files, three times faster. It’s the best-value upgrade we sell.
▸Will you copy my files to the new SSD?
Yes — included. We clone the existing drive bit-for-bit so the new SSD boots into the same Windows with the same files, same programs, same settings.
▸Can you do watercooling?
Yes — both AIO coolers and custom loops with reservoirs, distribution plates and hard tubing. Custom loops are leak-tested for 24 hours before final assembly.
